Clinical Research Trials

A clinical research trial is a research study designed to answer specific questions about investigational drugs, new therapies or new ways to use existing therapies.

Laureate Research conducts inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical trials. Each research trial focuses on a specific patient population (for example, patients with depression) and requires participants to meet strict inclusion/exclusion criteria. (Inclusion criteria are factors that allow you to participate in a clinical research trial and exclusion criteria are factors that keep you from participating in a trial.)
